Be the Gift appreciates the trust you place in us. We strive to maintain the highest standard of professionalism, accountability and transparency while recognizing the importance of protecting the information we collect from participants, volunteers, donors and sponsors. Internal control procedures include a system of managerial checks and balances used to insure your information is protected both online and offline.
We only have access to and collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. The information we collect may include names, email and postal addresses, phone numbers, participant’s work and education histories, event attendance and interests and other information that is voluntarily submitted to us. Be the Gift may use your information for communications to notify you of upcoming events, program impact, email newsletters and other general information relating to Be the Gift. This information is for internal use only and will not be disclosed, shared, sold or rented to anyone except when you have consented to share the information.
Be the Gift may utilize a third-party service provider (such as Paypal) to collect donations. These third-party service providers may collect your bank or credit card information to process a transaction. That information is not passed on to Be the Gift. We also use a third-party service to collect information needed to conduct background checks in certain areas of our program (to include date of birth and social security number) The third-party service is the only location where this information is stored. All third party processors utilized by Be the Gift conform to security industry standards for online contributions.
